Thanks to modern technology we all
feel more connected than ever. The Internet and the social networks allow us to
spread our voice and connect with people halfway around the world with the
click of a button. While we feel more
connected than ever, the reality is that
we are still strangers.
Individualism controls us at the
highest level. We have forgotten the important things in life and what
makes us unique as human beings. We have forgotten what a community is.
In our communities - one person lives
in a palace and owns five luxury cars, while another family have to choose
between
food and school books for their children because of financial trouble -
we are not a community, we are strangers.
We live in a strange world, a world in which a
rumor about a celebrity who married will cover all the newspapers front pages
for weeks but the deaths of 30 million people a year because of hunger will
pass in silence. Why we don’t care?
Because it's happening on the wrong side of
the world, the non- interesting - Africa, Asia and Latin America.
We live in a strange world where a
ten-year-old kid celebrates his birthday with a limo while many other children
will not survive until the age of ten. A world in which billions of dollars waiting
in bank accounts without anyone really needs it, while there are billions of
people out there living in poverty.
we want to
change the world, so we need to think about how to achieve a different future. We
need to understand how to achieve a different future. we must recognize the
injustices in our world so that we can stop them.
Global
Justice is about poverty, injustice, inequality and the trampling of human
rights. But above all this magazine is about people, solidarity and the hope
that things can be different. The magazine does not aim to undermine your
self-esteem or undermine your hope in the world or the people that drive it.
But allow you to recognize the moral wrongs of the world – you cannot be able
to ignore it. Once you know it you cannot excuse yourself.
You are
the one who gathered the courage and decide to fight for justice, and for a
better world.
In recent years, people protested
with their voices, their feet and their fists around the world and cried
"enough!" . from New York to Tel Aviv. In Ukraine, Thailand, Italy
and England. In Libya, turkey and Venezuela.
The Call for social justice in Tel
Aviv and the call for social justice in Turkey or London is the same call.
People from all over the world came to demanded their rights and fought for
social issues relating to their lives, but we must understand that the battle
is the same battle. It's all about a better and a just society.
To reach a more just society, we must
be united and show solidarity to each other. The Jew says "Love your
neighbor as yourself - is equivalent to the entire Torah". The meaning is
not to just love. The meaning is to love each person as you love yourself. It
is an imperative to cancel the desires and our personal desires in favor of
brotherhood and human solidarity, treat the world like a big family that help
to each other. Similar concepts also exist in Christianity, Islam, and
Hinduism. The Rastafarians call it "I and
I", the meaning is that there is no me and you, only I and I – we are all
the same. If we a believe it? Why don’t we live that way?
